KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF STUDENTS TRANING PROGRAM IN GT PAK:

Contract and Training Period CAF passed students from RAETs are registered with GT PAK for ICAP training program under ICAP training regulations

The training period varies according to the qualification of the students at the time of commencement of training, which is as follows

Qualification

1. CAF passed or equivalent thereto

2. Four year Graduate / Post Graduate

3. All other Graduates including 14 years associate degree holders

The progression of a Trainee Student during the training contract is through the following roles

• Assistant trainee

• Associate trainee

• Senior associate trainee

Training areas – Technical Competencies

Firm has a formal mechanism to support the development of technical competencies through on-the-job training. Firm provides the Trainee Students practical exposure in the technical areas given in Institute regulation which includes:

• Audit, assurance and related services

• Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Financial Management, management advisory and information technology

• Taxation and corporate law

Training areas – Professional skills

The training outcome relating to each type of professional skills is as follows:

Intellectual.

• Research and evaluate information from a variety of sources and perspectives and draw appropriate conclusions.

• Identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions to unstructured, multifaceted problems.

• Apply innovative and critical thinking to solving problems. Minimum

proficiency under this head shall be of intermediate level.

Assessment of professional development by Firm

• The assessment of professional skills, values, ethics and attitude is carried out by Firm

• The assessments are done within three months of internship and after completion of each assignment and finally after the completion of training.

• The firm hires, develops and retains people who have the competence and capabilities to perform high quality engagements.

• Appropriate bi-annual recruitment plan to select trainees after interviews on passing skill/aptitude test

• The firm train trainees and employees to ensure that they demonstrate a commitment to quality through their actions and behaviors through induction trainings, on-job trainings and held accountable through timely evaluations, assessments, appraisals and promotion

• Appropriate trainings are carried out by firm to familiarize the trainees with GT audit methodology and auditing software along with quality policies and procedures applicable at assignment and firm level.

• Minimum 3 years training contract ensure the continued involvement of trainees for assignments with less turnover rate

• Firms facilitates trainees in securing secondment abroad which contribute to individual’s long term carrier plan and gives incentive to individual to professionally continue and grow in profession
